GUardian ANgel (2024)

A young doctor gets in over her head moonlighting as the backyard bullet wound surgeon for a crime gang.
Guardian Angel is a gripping 10-minute crime thriller about a young doctor in a dangerous world, performing emergency surgery on bullet wounded gangsters in her garage. The film features blistering performances, nail-biting action with tense standoffs over life-or-death stakes, and a brutal, uncompromisingly real depiction of surgery in an ill-equipped makeshift operating theatre. Produced for $12k AUD with a production value worth $120k (we calculated it!) Guardian Angel is a short film that feels like a feature and takes place within a larger world with more stories to be told.
